Getting started: your first steps on the platform

This guide walks you from a blank registration form to a running strategy, one step at a time. By the end of it you will have an active account, a funded balance in Australian dollars, a strategy profile that matches your comfort with risk, and a personal manager you can call on. Nothing here assumes previous trading experience.

1. Introduction: what this page does for you

Pepperstone AI is built so that a first-time investor can be fully set up within a week, most of it waiting for a phone call rather than doing paperwork. The platform handles the market-watching; your job is to register, verify your identity, fund the account and make a handful of decisions with your manager about how actively your capital should work.

After following this guide you will be able to: log into a secured account, understand what the dashboard shows you, know exactly how your money moves in and out, and know who to contact when something is unclear. Every step below lists what you do, what we do, and roughly how long it takes.

Realistic timing

Registration takes about two minutes. The manager's call usually comes within 24 hours on business days. Activation and your first deposit can happen the same day as the call.

A person, not a manual

Every step that involves a decision has your personal manager on the other end of it. If a screen does not make sense, you ask, they explain, in plain English.

No obligation

Registering creates the account but commits you to nothing. You decide whether to fund it only after the manager has explained the risks as well as the mechanics.

2. Step 1: Register your account

Start from the registration form on the home page or the Create account page. You provide your name, email address and mobile number, and choose a password. That is genuinely the whole form. The account exists immediately, though it stays inactive until you talk to your manager.

Choose a password you do not use anywhere else, at least ten characters, mixing letters, numbers and symbols. Your mobile number matters: it is how your manager reaches you and how security alerts find you if something unusual happens on the account. Double-check the email address, because the confirmation and all account mail goes there.

Turn on two-factor authentication

From account settings, switch on 2FA so each login needs a code from your phone as well as your password. It takes one minute and closes the most common attack route. If you later change phones, support walks you through recovery.

Keep your credentials yours

Pepperstone AI staff will never ask for your password or a one-time code. Anyone who does is not us, however convincing the message looks. Report it to [email protected].

Expect a login alert

Each new device that signs in triggers an email notification. That is normal the first time; if one arrives when you did not log in, change your password and tell us straight away.

3. Step 2: Verification and account activation

Before any money moves, Australian requirements mean we must verify who you are. During the activation call your manager will ask for a government photo ID, such as your passport or driver licence, and proof of your address, such as a bank statement or utility bill issued in the last three months. Photos from your phone are fine as long as the whole document is readable.

Most verifications finish within one business day of receiving clear documents. When your account is marked active, your manager will confirm it by email, and the deposit options unlock. Verification protects you as much as us: it stops someone else from opening an account in your name or withdrawing to a bank account that is not yours.

1

Send documents

Photo ID plus proof of address, uploaded during the call or emailed straight after.

2

Automatic check

The system reads and validates the documents, usually within minutes.

3

Manual review

Where anything is unclear, a compliance person looks at it by hand rather than guessing.

4

Activation

You get an email confirming the account is active and deposits are open.

4. Step 3: Set up analysis and monitoring

This is the part most newcomers expect to be hard, and it is not, because the defaults are sensible and your manager tunes them with you. You choose which markets the engine watches for you, shares and digital assets, or one to start with. You agree on a strategy profile: conservative, balanced or more active. The difference is how much market movement your positions are exposed to, and it is the single biggest lever on how your results will feel, both up and down.

You also choose what you want to hear about. Alerts can tell you when a strategy enters or exits a position, when the market turns unusually volatile, and when your balance crosses a level you set. Some clients want every alert; some want a weekly summary and nothing else. Either is fine, and you can change your mind later from settings.

Strategy profile

Conservative profiles favour steadier instruments and earlier exits; active profiles accept bigger swings for bigger moves. Your manager explains both in terms of dollars, not jargon, before you choose.

Notifications

Pick email or push, or both, and set quiet hours if you would rather not hear from the market at 2am. Security alerts are the one kind that always arrives immediately.

5. Step 4: Fund the account and watch the dashboard

Deposits are in Australian dollars, and the fastest route is PayID: open your banking app, send to the PayID your manager gives you, confirm the Osko payment, and the money is normally on the platform within seconds. Visa and Mastercard work too, and a plain bank transfer with BSB and account number if you prefer. The Basic plan starts from $370 AUD; Advanced from $2,250; Premium from $7,500. There is no monthly platform fee on any of them, and deposits are free.

Once funded, the dashboard becomes your home screen. It shows your balance and its history, the strategies currently running, recent positions and their outcomes, and any alerts worth your attention. Spend your first week simply watching how it moves. You will see good days and softer days on the chart; that is normal and it is the whole reason strategy choices and risk levels matter more than any single day's result.

What the dashboard shows

Balance and equity, open strategies, closed positions with the reasoning behind each, and a performance summary you can read in under a minute.

Withdrawing whenever you choose

Withdrawals are requested from the dashboard, approved after a security check, and paid to your verified Australian bank account within 1-3 business days. Full conditions are on the withdrawal policy page.

6. Important notes before you begin

Nothing on the platform guarantees profit. Automated does not mean risk-free: the engine follows the market, and the market sometimes moves against every position you hold. Treat any money you deposit as capital you can afford to have at risk, decide in advance how much of a drawdown you would calmly accept, and tell your manager that number so they can help you respect it.

Remember also that past performance, including the figures other clients mention in reviews, does not predict what will happen on your account. If anything about the platform ever sounds too good to be true, that instinct is worth trusting, and our team would rather answer a sceptical question than have you deposit money you are not comfortable losing.
